Offering Lifelong Learning (Part II) Credit for ABPath’s CC Program<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

All activities which award AMA Category I CME (CME) credits may be used by diplomates to meet their Lifelong Learning (Part II) CC Program requirements. We ask that 80% of an individual’s reported CME credit be directly related to their scope of practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Providers Reporting to ABPath Through ACCME PARS<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

ABPath and ACCME collaborate to help accredited providers and diplomates. When providers register activities for ABPath’s CC Program they are promoted on ACCME’s CME Passport<\/a> for diplomates to find. When providers later send learner completion records, those records are automatically reported for diplomates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We ask providers to utilize ACCME PARS when offering any activity which appeal to pathologists. Manual reporting of activities by our diplomates is still possible at this time. This policy may be reconsidered in the future. Please see the CME for MOC<\/a> page and CME that Counts for ABPath Continuing Certification on ACCME’s website for details. We ask that all providers begin reporting to ABPath through ACCME PARS or prepare to do so in the future<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Offering Improvement in Health and Healthcare (Part IV) Credit for ABPath’s CC Program<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Offering Activities Which Can Be Reported for Improvement in Health and Healthcare (IHHC)<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

IHHC was formerly known as Improvement in Medical Practice (IMP)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Diplomates are asked to report at least one individual Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QA\/PI) activity per year. Only certain types of activities are approved as QA\/PI for purposes of ABPath’s Improvement in Health and Healthcare<\/a> (IHHC) reporting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

We ask providers to report individual QA\/PI activities electronically to ABPath through ACCME PARS if the activity also awards AMA Category I CME, or alternatively through the ABMS Portfolio Program if it does not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
