There are no glass slides, only VM. The questions assess the candidate\u2019s body of knowledge, judgment and problem-solving ability. The practical questions include interpretive and problem-solving aspects of cytopathology, including clinical, radiologic and histologic correlation and management guidelines. The written questions include factual, administrative, technical, and regulatory aspects of cytopathology, systems-based practice, and patient care. The virtual microscopy examination requires using locator skills, diagnostic interpretation, and correlation with histologic findings. Typically, the cervical\/anal cytology slides will be dotted; FNA and non-gynecologic slides are usually not dotted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Exam content areas include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Gynecologic\/Anal Cytopathology<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sample collection, preparation, automation, and ancillary testing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Morphology of normal, reactive, infectious, and epithelial abnormalities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bethesda System terminology for reporting cervical cytology, WHO\/LAST recommendations for histopathology reporting of HPV associated squamous lesions of the lower anogenital tract.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Primary prevention of cervical cancer- HPV vaccination<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Secondary prevention of cervical cancer: current screening and management guidelines from key organizations (ACS, USPSTF, ASCCP, ACOG, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Non-Gynecologic and Fine Needle Aspiration Cytopathology<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Includes specimens obtained from all body sites<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Specimen collection (techniques, indications) and processing,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:21px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Specimen types-direct smears, liquid-based preparations, cell blocks, core biopsies, crush\/squash preparations and touch imprints of core biopsies, gross specimen scrapes.<\/li>\n<li>Stains &#8211;
