Test Development and Advisory Committees (TDACs)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Since 1971, the ABPath has appointed test committees for the various areas of pathology. The committees consist of ABPath trustees and other pathologists and physicians who are recognized experts in the various disciplines. In 2001, the role of these committees was expanded to include subject matter expertise and an advisory function for the Board. The members of the Test Development and Advisory Committees are as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ABPath CertLink\u00ae (ABPCL) Item Writing Committee is composed of individuals who have well-honed diagnostic skills and are staying abreast with the rapid changes that are occurring in their areas of pathology and laboratory medicine. The ABPath CertLink\u00ae (ABPCL) Item Writing Committee accepts applications from outstanding early career pathologists, as well as seasoned pathologists. Members of this committee write questions for ABPath CertLink, the online longitudinal assessment for the ABPath Continuing Certification Program. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Diplomate Advisory Committee<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Diplomate Advisory Committee is made up of 12 volunteer diplomates with diverse backgrounds, specialties, and experience and is chaired by an ABPath Trustee. It is responsible for advising the ABPath Board of Trustees for continuous evaluation and improvement of Continuing Certification and other ABPath initiatives from a diplomate\u2019s perspective. Each member serves three years on the Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
